Feriköy Flea Market: Sunday antiques and Saturday organic market

Updated on October 4, 2026

The Feriköy antiques market (Feriköy Antika Pazarı) is Istanbul's big flea market: created in 2009, it takes place every Sunday in the Şişli district, from about 9am to 6pm, and brings together more than 450 stalls according to local guides. You rummage through records, old books, coins, watches, jewellery, photographs and everyday objects from the past. On Saturdays the same site hosts the Feriköy organic market, created in 2006 and open from about 8am to 2pm. Entry is free in both cases. It is a market for bargain hunters and locals: you come for the find and the atmosphere, not for ready-made souvenirs.

Highlights

A cobbled street in Feriköy

A cobbled street in Feriköy

The market fills a large open-air space in a residential part of Şişli, a few streets from Bomonti and Nişantaşı. The quiet cobbled streets around it are worth a short walk before or after the flea market.

The antiques and flea-market stalls

Vinyl records, books, postcards, old photographs, watches, lamps, crockery and glassware: on Sunday you find everything from knick-knacks for a few lira to collectors' pieces. Sellers are private individuals as much as dealers, which explains the gap in price and quality between stalls.

The Saturday organic market

Growers of fruit and vegetables, cheeses, sourdough breads, honey and cold-pressed oils: a neighbourhood market smarter and pricier than those of Kadıköy, but very pleasant for breakfast or for things to take home (honey, olives, jams).

The cafés around

After the hunt, the cafés and restaurants of Bomonti and Feriköy serve brunches and coffee to the market regulars.

Tips

Haggling is the rule at the flea market; compare before offering a price. Bring small change in Turkish lira: not every stall takes cards. Objects that look old (coins, icons, carpets, ceramics) can fall under the rules on cultural property: always ask for an invoice and, for an old object, read the customs section of our guide to shopping in Istanbul. The hours of the two markets (Sunday for antiques, Saturday for organic) come from local guides, with no official website consulted; confirm before you go (information as of October 2026).

How to get there

Feriköy Semt Pazarı, Cumhuriyet Mahallesi, 34380 Şişli, Istanbul. Metro M2, Osmanbey or Şişli-Mecidiyeköy station, then a few minutes' walk or a taxi ride; the district is also about 20 minutes' walk from Nişantaşı. From Taksim, allow a quarter of an hour by taxi.
