What the official site says

On 30 October 2026 the Istanbul Akvaryum site listed opening hours of 10am to 7pm on weekdays and 10am to 8pm at weekends, with an online ticket page and a separate page for feeding times. The prices we noted in October 2026: 1,000 TL for an adult, 900 TL from 2 to 18, free under 2, family tickets at 2,900 TL (three people) and 3,800 TL (four). The "resident" rates are for Turkish citizens only: a foreign visitor pays the standard price. The lira price moves fast, so confirm it when you pay.

Official ticket or GetYourGuide?

Option Best for Good to know
Online ticket on the official site Almost everyone Paid in lira, family rate available
GetYourGuide entry ticket Those who prefer paying in their own currency with a voucher on the phone Compare the day's price with the official rate before paying; read the cancellation terms on the listing

Any extra paid on a resold ticket does not buy a special fast lane: the aquarium has no fixed entry slot, and the queue depends mostly on the day. The Museum Pass Istanbul is not accepted because the aquarium is privately run. For more ideas with children, see theme parks and aquariums in Istanbul.

With children: what to see

The route follows 17 geographic zones, from the seas of Turkey to the Amazon rainforest, with some 17,000 animals of 1,500 species and gentoo penguins. Allow two hours. Our Istanbul Aquarium page covers the highlights. Avoid weekend afternoons, the busiest time. Do not confuse it with the Emaar Aquarium in Üsküdar, inside a mall on the Asian side, or with Sea Life at Forum Istanbul.

Getting there

Take the Marmaray to Florya Akvaryum station from Sirkeci or Üsküdar; allow 35 to 45 minutes from Sultanahmet. See getting around Istanbul. For a wet day, read what to do in Istanbul when it rains.
