Fast track: what it is and who needs it

A fast track or meet-and-assist is a paid service in which an agent meets you, walks you to passport control and helps with baggage and the exit; some sellers add a buggy. It helps if you arrive with small children, with someone who walks with difficulty, or at an hour when several large flights land together. The airport's official page says its e-passport gates are for Turkish citizens aged 18 or over with a chip passport, so foreign visitors queue at the normal counters (the airport lists 68 counters in departures and 10 e-gates); a paid agent does not change that rule, so ask the seller exactly which queue they use. If you arrive alone, with light luggage, outside the peaks, the queue may be short and the service will not be worth its price.

VIP lounge

Turkish Airlines runs the Miles&Smiles lounge in international departures, near gate C1 according to a lounge guide; it is open to business-class passengers, Miles&Smiles Elite members and some partner-card holders, and the guest rules differ between sources, so read the conditions on turkishairlines.com. Pay-on-entry lounges also exist, but we found no official price, only third-party figures that disagree: ask the lounge operator. A lounge mostly serves departures or a long layover, rarely arrivals.

Chauffeur on arrival

A private driver waits with a sign bearing your name and takes you to your hotel without a taxi search: it is the simplest option if you land at night or with a lot of luggage. You can book a private transfer from Istanbul Airport and check the price and cancellation time before paying.
