Zorlu Center: shopping mall, performances and terraces in Beşiktaş
Zorlu Center is a large modern complex on the European side, in Beşiktaş, near Zincirlikuyu and the Levent business district. Under a single address it brings together a shopping mall, the Zorlu PSM performing arts center, the Raffles Istanbul hotel, residences and offices, according to its official website. It is not visited like a monument: you come to shop under cover, see a show or eat, often on a rainy day. The mall is open every day from 10:00 to 22:00. Entry is free. For Turkish fashion and open-air designer boutiques, head to Nişantaşı instead; for souvenirs and markets, see our guide to shopping in Istanbul.
Highlights

The residential towers
Three stepped towers rise above a low base whose roof is planted with greenery. It is the image of the whole complex, visible from far away from the highway and the Zincirlikuyu metrobus stop.

Inside the mall
The center is organized around large skylit voids, with several floors of shops and restaurants. It is a place to shelter, eat and shop at fixed prices.

The big names
You will find Turkish brands such as Beymen, the luxury department store, and international names such as Apple. Bank cards are accepted everywhere, and tax-free shopping is often offered for travelers from outside the European Union: ask for it at the till.
Zorlu PSM
The Zorlu Performans Sanatları Merkezi is the performing arts center of the complex: concerts, theater and shows. Its box office is open every day from 10:00 to 22:00; the program can be checked by date on the Zorlu PSM website. For more evening ideas, read our guide to nightlife in Istanbul.
Restaurants and cafés
The center houses many restaurants and cafés, from fast food to pricier tables. Prices are not officially published: look at the menus displayed outside each restaurant before sitting down.
