Sapphire Istanbul: the Levent observation deck, opening hours, tickets and views

Updated on October 15, 2026

The Sapphire observation deck sits at the top of a glass tower in the Levent business district on the European side, above the Sapphire shopping mall. Tickets give access to a glazed panoramic terrace and an outdoor level more than 230 m above the ground, with views of the Bosphorus, the bridges, the Princes' Islands and the Belgrade Forest. It is a modern viewpoint, the opposite of the old city: allow about an hour, ideally on a clear day in the late afternoon.

Highlights

The tower

The tower

The Sapphire is easy to spot from afar by its slender glass silhouette on Büyükdere Caddesi. The observation level is near the top, and the panoramic lift gets there in a few dozen seconds.

The night view over Levent

In the evening the neighbouring towers and city motorways light up. It is photographers' favourite moment, provided you book a late slot.

The glazed terrace

The glazed terrace

Large windows and a food-and-drink area face the city; signs show the directions and distances to several world capitals.

The outdoor level

Depending on the weather and season, part of the deck is open-air. It may close in strong wind or rain, so check before going up.

The 4D Skyride

An optional simulated helicopter flight over Istanbul's landmarks, sold on site or with the entry ticket; it is aimed mainly at children and the curious.

Practical info

Tips

  • Prices are not reliably published: resellers showed from about €16 in October 2026 for basic entry, while older pages quote much lower lira prices that are no longer current; compare the ticket-office price with online tickets on the day of your visit. According to resellers, children under three enter free. Pick a clear day: in haze or rain the view is poor and the outdoor level may be closed. For a historic view of the old city, choose the Galata Tower; for an evening view of the Bosphorus, see viewpoints and sunsets in Istanbul. Another modern viewpoint is the Çamlıca Tower on the Asian side.

How to get there

Büyükdere Caddesi No. 185, Levent, Beşiktaş, Istanbul. Take the M2 metro to Levent (or 4. Levent) station, then walk a few minutes to the entrance of the shopping mall at the foot of the tower. From Taksim, the M2 line reaches Levent in about ten minutes. Line details: Getting around Istanbul. To combine the visit with another modern district, see the Zorlu Center.

Opening hours

Best: Late afternoon, clear sky
Daily about 10:00-21:30 (depending on the source; last entry about 1 h 30 before closing, to be confirmed)
